Detroit at Carolina

Carolina didn't win against the New York Giants in Week 2, but the Panthers did get the money covering as a 3-point underdog and Bryce Young got some more playing time and was 3 of 6 for 35 yards. Matt Corral went 9 of 13 for 71 yards and Jake Luton threw the only touchdown pass for the Panthers. Young will play in this game and hopefully will get more time with the starting offensive line. Frank Reich now is 8-5-3 ATS in preseason with Indianapolis and Carolina. Detroit ran for only 35 yards on 19 carries while losing 25-7 to Jacksonville and the Lions didn't do much better in the passing game as Nate Sudfield and Teddy Bridgewater combined for 14 of 29 for just 96 yards and a TD with an interception. It was a disappointing outing for Bridgewater and that is why he'll likely play most of this game and because the Lions don't want to risk injury to Jared Goff. Detroit coach Dan Campbell is 2-6 straight up and 2-5-1 ATS in preseason and the Lions went UNDER by five points against the Jaguars and the offense doesn't figure to do much better in this matchup. The Panthers stayed UNDER by 10 points in Week 1 and came within two points of staying UNDER versus the Giants. Take the Panthers as a Max Play, and the UNDER as a Max Play.
