Denver at Seattle

Those of you with me last year knew I was big on Seattle in the Super Bowl. This is a slightly different story. After watching the big game, and how badly Seattle dominated this Denver team on both sides of the ball, it is hard to even imagine Denver has a chance. After all, that was on a neutral field, and now they have to come to Seattle where the Seahawks are 18-1 straight-up in their last 19. One thing is for sure, Denver has the motivation card and has probably had this one circled since the schedule came out. And, this is a regular season game which is where Peyton Manning dominates (the playoffs are a different story alltogether). After looking so good vs. Green Bay, Seattle fell flat last week in San Diego where they lost big. All the talk amongst the Denver players revolves around "this is the game we have been waiting for." Motivation is a strange animal. It tends to make a team better than they are, and certainly Denver is good anyway. While the Seahawks are 18-1 straight up at home, Denver doesn't have to win here to get the money, and I think this one goes down to the last possession. Denver has shown the road pedigree at 4-1 ATS in their last five. Peyton Manning is the ultimate regular-season competitor, and he was embarrassed in the Super Bowl.
