Denver at San Francisco

San Francisco did the right thing by not showing anything in a loss at Baltimore last week in a 3,000 mile trip. The 49ers rested, among others, Frank Gore, WRs Michael Crabtree and Brandon Lloyd and LB Patrick Willis. Now they are home and ready to play football. Coach Jim Harbaugh is 8-6 in August, and 2-1 SU/ATS in week two. San Francisco has offensive coordinator Greg Roman back from last year, but he streamlined the playbook during the offseason in an effort to make it easier for Colin Kaepernick to get the call in. Kaepernick appeared relaxed at the helm during his lone series. He completed his only pass, 17 yards to tight end Vance McDonald. This is the first road game for Denver and they come off somewhat of an emotional preseason game, a rematch with Seattle after losing the Super Bowl (badly) to them. They got the win, and have nothing to prove here, so it's hard to believe we will see much of Peyton Manning. And after Manning it's a huge drop off: Brock Osweiler, Zac Dysert and rookie Bryn Renner. Denver coach John Fox is 4-8 SU in week two of preseason. Play the San Francisco 49ers.
