The Denver Broncos are getting amazing performance out of Kyle Orton who appears to be blossoming in 2010. At his present pace, Orton would surpass the NFL record holder, Dan Marino, and pass for well over 5,000 yards. He has turned a bad team into a servicable one. It will be interesting to see how the Broncos aerial assault holds up vs. the Ravens who are No. 1 against the pass in the entire NFL. While the Ravens are defending the pass, they have not done as well vs. the run, as they come into this contest ranked just No. 21. The Ravens are also off a physically brutal game vs. the Steelers that won on their last drive, so their energy level for this one will be put to the test. The last time they had an emotional win vs. the Steelers, they were flat as a pancake in a 13-point loss to the Packers on Monday Night. The Broncos have covered four of their last five vs. winning teams and are also 7-3 ATS off a straight-up win in their last 10. They thrive vs. the number when facing great defenses. The Broncos are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games vs. teams that allow 14 or fewer points per game. The Ravens left a lot on the field last week and are 1-5-1 ATS after allowing less than 250 yards in their last game. I like Denver plus the points.
