The Dallas Cowboys have a solid all-around group that comes off of a 12-5 campaign and is favored to win the NFC East again. They're a dog in the opener, but the defense was decent last preseason, allowing 18.3 points in the first three August games. Their last seven preseason games away from home have all been close with the defense allowing an average of 16 points. That includes a 13-10 loss, a 19-16 defeat, a 20-18 win, a 14-10 win, and a Week 1 24-21 victory at San Francisco. Denver had a big offseason adding QB Russell Wilson, but he won't play much, if at all. The backups are uninspiring in Josh Johnson and Brett Rypien. Rypien is the only quarterback on the roster who played for them last year, and he wasn't very good in preseason, combining to go 8-of-17 for 72 yards with one TD and one pick. The Broncos also have already lost third wide receiver Tim Patrick for the season, so keeping things basic and avoiding more injuries in the passing game will be imperative. Take Dallas.
