Cleveland has now lost five in a row, and eight of their last nine. but they are not a team that has stopped competing. They ahve battled QB issues all season. Three weeks ago they lost by 4 points on a last minute TD, and they had New England dead in their tracks before allowing 10 points in the final two minutes after failing to recover an onside kick for the win. Last week they gave Chicago everything they could handle in a 7-point loss on the road. Despite the QB issues, the Browns have scored 20 points or more in five of their last six games, something that hasn't occurred since the 2010-11 season. One big reason is the play of WR Josh Gordon who has just shy of 1500 receiving yards at 20 yards per grab. The Jets have lived and died by rookie QB Geno Smith and his 21 INTs on the season, which has challenged the defense. The Jets have now allowed 19 points or more in each of their last 12 games. The Browns are made for moving the ball against the Jets' defense. The Brownsr running game is just a rumor, and that is where the Jets defense thrives, while having trouble against the aerial attack. The Jets have given up a 31 yard or longer TD pass in each of their last seven games, and Josh Gordon has been catching long ones a lot. Additionally, the Jets have allowed four defensive TDs in those games. The Browns are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 on the road vs. a team with a losing home record, while the Jets are now 36-17-1 to the OVER in their last 54 after allowing 350+ yards. Under Rex Ryan the Jets are 48-32 to the OVER including 25-11 when the line is -3 to +3. This is too much to overcome for the home team, so play on Cleveland and the OVER.
