The Green Bay Packers played a sloppy game in their opener, fumbling three times and throwing an interception for a total of four turnovers. Despite the sloppy play the Packers lost by just 8 points in San Diego. Mike McCarthy will likely have this team ready to play better at home this week. Since he took over the coaching reigns of the Packers his team has been 9-3 in Weeks 2 and 3 of the preseason. Aaron Rogers went 2-8 in game one with an INT, so I also expect to see an extra series or two for him, and better numbers here. The Browns squeezed-out a 19-17 win in Detroit last week, but committed eight penalties and allowed nearly 200 yards on the ground, so there is still a lot of work to do as this team is a long way from being competitive on both sides of the ball. Teams coming off a loss vs. teams off a win have held the upper hand in NFL preseason. I like Green Bay in this one.
