Cincinnati at Tampa Bay

The Bengals have great depth on defense and a ball control style on offense. The Bengals QB rotation is sound with Andy Dalton, A.J. McCarron, Josh Johnson, and Keith Wenning. Cincinnati looked sharp in the opener, shutting down the Giants, 23-10. Eli Manning and the rest of the New York offense stayed on the field until early in the second quarter, managing only one first down and 38 yards in four series. Bengals QB Josh Johnson was 11 of 21 for 175 yards and scrambled six times for 37 yards. They face a young Tampa Bay offense that has a long way to go behind rookie QB Jameis Winston. Tampa Bay fell to the Minnesota Vikings 26-16 last week, with Winston turning in an up-and-down performance, which is expected with rookies. Unfortunately, he's all they have and as the No. 1 overall pick they really have to start him and hope for the best. The Bucs will be without starting right tackle Demar Dotson, who suffered a knee injury in last week's loss and won't be back in the starting lineup for quite a while. It'll be an even greater challenge for an offensive line that was already lacking in quality depth, especially since they'll be facing a team with plenty of pass-rushing talent. Tampa Bay coach Lovie Smith has a losing record in Weeks 1 and 2 of preseason combined. Meanwhile, Marvin Lewis is 8-4 straight up in Week 2 of preseason, his best exhibition week, and the deep and talented visitors hold all the cards tonight. Play the Bengals.
