Cincinnati at Detroit

The Detroit Lions are on the move. After years of losing, they won six games a year ago, and the good news is that four of those wins were in their last four games. They did it without a healthy QB most for the season and despite 10 losses, half of those came by 4 points or less. They also went on to cover 12 of their 16 games. They have a caveat, however as they were the most penalized team in the NFL last year, and adding defensive standout Fairley from Auburn, another personal foul king, that might not change this year. Cincinnati will have a different look this year. Gone is Carson Palmer and enter Andy Dalton, who is the likely replacement candidate. He will get a shot at a much more open offense with new offensive coordinator Jay Gruden's wide-open style. He will likely show that here and perhaps catch the Lions off-guard in game one.
