I guess if you are representing Chicago, and you're playing out the string in the last two games, it certainly is nice to be playing in Florida in December. Tampa Bay was 5-5 through 10 games, and looked like they might be coming on as a potential playoff team. They have since dropped three out of four and played themselves out of contention. The Buccaneers defense has betrayed them most of the year. After allowing just 62 points over a four game stretch, it appeared they may be figuring things out, but that was not the case. Tampa Bay's last three games have seen the defense breakdown, allowing 29.7 points per game. The Bears have been the team that has defended a lot better, allowing just north of 20 ppg in their last six. Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston continues to improve week to week. Last week he threw for 363 yards, as the Bucs piled up over 500 yards vs. a decent St. Louis defense. All in all, the intensity may be lacking for this one, as both teams are out of the hunt, so I think points will come a lot easier. The Bears have done a very good job on the road where they are 5-1 ATS in their last six. The Bucs are just 8-22 ATS in their last 30 at home vs. a team with a losing record. Over the Bears last 30 road games have seen them go 21-9 to the OVER. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have soared OVER the total in four of their last five after producing 350 yards or more in their previous contest. Take Chicago and the OVER in this one.
