Chicago played Mitch Trubisky for only one series in the opener, but the backups were decent as Chase Daniel completed 11-of-13 for 120 yards and Tyler Bray was 8-of-17 for 85 yards. Kerrith Whyte, Jr. averaged 5.8 yards on six carries as the Bears finished with 82 rushing yards on 19 carries. Chicago coach Matt Nagy was 3-2 straight-up and ATS in his first year in 2018. New York coach Pat Shurmer was 5-7 SU and ATS in three preseasons, including two years with the Cleveland Browns. Daniel Jones was the star of the Giants' victory over the Jets as he completed all five of his passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. However, New York gained only 40 yards on the ground on 2.2 yards per carry. TJ Jones caught six passes for 72 yards while Reggie White, Jr. added four catches for 60 yards for the Giants. New York has gone UNDER six of the last seven years in Game 2 of the preseason.
