Chicago at Detroit

The Bears aren't going to the playoffs but they've been more competitive than many fans think. Chicago has won four times as a dog over the Panthers, Steelers, Ravens and Bengals. Last week they were a a +6 dog at Cincinnati and rolled, 33-7. The Bears are 7-3-1 ATS against a team with a winning record. They are hanging in there with defense, #11 in the league in yards allowed, #14 in points. The Bears are 8-4-1 UNDER the total for the season. They are a dog again to a Detroit squad that has no balance on offense, last in the NFL in rushing with a ridiculous 76.3 yards per game. After a 3-1 start the Lions have a losing record since. They've lost two of three which continues a late season swoon trend: the Lions are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games in December. Detroit hasn't been covering at home and they are 8-2 UNDER the total against losing teams, plus 10-4 UNDER after getting more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. These teams played a three-point game when they met last month as Chicago had 222 yards rushing, including 125 from RB Jordan Howard. Look for another close one in a defensive battle.
