Carolina at New Orleans

The New Orleans started the season appearing to have many problems defensively, but the Saints stop-unit has come on strong and finished a respectable #17 in the league in yards allowed while giving up 20.4 points per game for the season. Carolina is seventh in yards allowed (317.1 per game) while also allowing 20.4 points per contest. The Panthers are ranked #19 in total offense yards and Cam Newton continues to have an uneven season and he was just 14-of-34 for 180 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions in last week's 22-10 loss to Atlanta. Running back Jonathan Stewart is questionable with a back injury. The Saints have relied on their running game more than any other time since Drew Brees has been there and they're averaging 129.4 yards on the ground, which is good for fifth in the NFL. The Panthers have gone UNDER four of their last five against the NFC South and five of their last seven following a loss. The underrated Saints defense and the inconsistent Carolina offense makes this a lower-scoring affair. Play the UNDER.
