New Orleans has clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs and Carolina has been eliminated. Saints coach Sean Payton has been cagey about how long his starters will play, but all indications are they'll play a series or two and then turn it over to the reserves. That includes Teddy Bridgewater replacing Drew Brees at quarterback. Bridgewater has played in only four games this season and could use some work should he be needed in the postseason. The Panthers still have the #11 offense in the league in yards gained and the underdog has covered eight of the last nine meetings. Cam Newton has been shut down for the season and backup Taylor Heinicke went on the injured list with an elbow injury. Kyle Allen will likely start and Garrett Gilbert has been signed to back him up. Both will be auditioning for a spot on the 2019 roster. Carolina nearly upset the Saints just two weeks ago losing 12-9 on Monday Night Football. The defense held Brees to 203 passing yards with no touchdowns and an interception and the game went UNDER by nearly 30 points. The Panthers have stayed UNDER in their last four games and the Saints have gone UNDER in five of their last six. Also, New Orleans has gone UNDER in six straight against teams with losing records. Grab the big points with the Panthers and also go with the UNDER.
