Carolina at New Orleans

Carolina would like to atone for a 34-13 loss to the Saints in September when Cam Newton had one of his worst days as he threw three interceptions.  The Panthers have since won six of eight games, including their last four in a row after last week's 35-27 win at the New York Jets. Newton was 11-of-28 for 168 yards but did not get picked off and the Panthers piled up 145 rushing yards on 33 carries led by Christian McCaffrey with 62 yards on seven carries in a balanced offense. Carolina is 7-1 ATS its last eight road games and the Panthers usually bounce back nicely defensively as they are 9-3-1 UNDER their last 13 games after allowing at least 350 total yards their previous game. The Panthers are 12-4 ATS the last 16 meetings at New Orleans and the road team is 23-9 ATS the last 32 meetings. Carolina is sixth in the league in yards allowed (288.3 per game) and eighth in points allowed (18.8 per game). The Saints had an eight-game winning streak snapped by the Rams as Drew Brees failed to throw a touchdown pass and the Saints' newfound running game was not enough to overcome a fine performance by Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
