Carolina at Chicago

The Thursday night matchup features two of the worst teams in the league, although the Bears (2-7 SU) have earned one more win. QB Tyson Bagent has shown some promise but needs to take better care of the football. Bagent threw two picks in a losing effort at Los Angeles, and turned the ball over four times against New Orleans last week (3 INT, 1 fumble). He did, however, keep the Bears in the game vs. the Saints, finishing with 220 passing yards and 70 rushing yards. Panthers QB Bryce Young had the same problem against Indianapolis, throwing three picks while completing 24 of 39 for only 173 yards. The Panthers might be suffering buyer's remorse after passing on C.J. Stroud to take Young, although Houston has the better all-round team. Carolina (1-7 SU) has lost all four road contests, while Chicago is 3-0-1 ATS following a loss. The Panthers offense has scored 17 or fewer points five times this season and managed just 28 points the past two weeks combined. The Bears have stayed UNDER three of four, scoring 20.9 PPG. Chicago is 22-9 UNDER after an ATS win and the Panthers are 8-3 UNDER following an ATS loss. Carolina is 16-35-1 ATS vs. teams with losing records.
