Both the Buffalo Bills and the NY Jets are expected to get better, but after winning 10 games combined a year ago, what will "better" look like? Certainly the winner of this one will have a leg up by seeing that improvement take place on the field. The Bills have won 6-9 games in 12 of the last 13 years, and have not been able to get over the top. The offense scored 13 points or fewer seven times, and they went through a three-week stretch of scoring just 20 total points. The Bills signed 19 unrestricted free agents of which 15 were on the offensive side of the ball, so things look a lot brighter, and if QB Josh Allen takes a big step forward in year two the Bills will surprise. The Jets finished 4-12 and have a long way to go. They signed a couple immediate impact free agents, but overall the talent is still less than the Bills. Play on Buffalo.
