Buffalo wants to be more up-tempo this season, and this is their second game after playing in the Hall of Fame game. The offense ran for 94 yards (4.5 yards per carry) against a strong Giants front line. The defense, though, was a concern giving up a 73 yard pass play late and allowed the Giants to go 6-13 on third down, along with 121 yards rushing. That's a concern as Buffalo was #28 at stopping the run last season. Carolina can run at #11 in the NFL in rushing behind Cam Newton. They also have backup QB Derek Anderson, a 10-year veteran from Oregon State. Anderson has played 59 NFL games, starting 43. He made the Pro Bowl in 2007 with Cleveland. Carolina and Chicago teamed for 41 points in last year's preseason opener to go OVER the total as Anderson was 8-15 for 133 yards. And Buffalo won 44-20 in last year's first preseason road game, part of a 3-1 run OVER the total. Take the OVER.
