Houston had to take an ego hit last week as Aaron Rodgers tortured their defense, much the same Peyton Manning did in putting up 25 points against them in week three. Joe Flacco may not be in the company of Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning, but he is maturing and is a top 10 QB this year. He, along with Ray Rice, can do some damage. The Texans have obviously been good defensively, but not so much vs. high level QBs. Good teams tend to letdown after their first loss of the season and those that were 5-0 are just 3-6 ATS in their next game as a favorite. More importantly, they’re just 4-5 straight-up. Baltimore is getting a lot of negative press about their defense, especially now with Ray Lewis out. How can they survive? The NFL's Defensive Player of the Year, Terrell Suggs, could be back here providing an emotional boost at the very leaset. And, the rest of the defense will be out to prove that there are other players on this team besides Ray Lewis. Teams usually answer that bell strong and hard in the first game without a star, as others step up. Over the past two seasons, the Ravens are 10-2 straight-up following an ATS loss. In the John Harbaugh era, they are 23-7 straight-up following back-to-back ATS losses. Play Baltimore on the moneyline.
