Atlanta at Los Angeles

One of the biggest surprises this season were the Los Angeles Rams. The Falcons were a very explosive offensive team last year, but could not sustain that offensive pace this season. Despite that, their games went from an average total of 50.6 a year ago to just 48.6 this year. The Rams have certainly been a team that blossomed offensively this year averaging 30 points per game, after just 14 ppg last year a net improvement of a radical 16ppg - the biggest leap in offensive production of any NFL team. While the Rams defense was really solid at home, there is cause for concern. A team that allowed 79 points in their first six home games (counting a neutral site de facto home game), the Rams gave up 77 in their last two, and three of their last four home games were among the top four in points allowed at home. The Falcons certainly have the tools to score, and the Falcons come into this game having played 11 straight OVER the total when they are off a win of more than seven points as a favorite vs. a team that allowed over 400 yards in their last game, topping the total by over 10 ppg.
