The status of Kevin Kolb remains uncertain but it looks like he probably won't go here. If he doesn't which John Skelton will we get? Will we get the Skelton that went 6-for-19 vs. San Francisco? Or will we get the Skelton that threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns vs. Philadelphia? Consider that the Niners own the best defense in the NFL (14.6 yards per game allowed) while the Rams are in the bottom thrid (25 points per game allowed). This was supposed to be a year in which Sam Bradford and the Rams improved. But instead, they are 2-8 (1-4 at home), scoring just 12.0 points per game. Taking a team like that and giving points is risky business. Arizona has the better defense, and they score more points per game than do the Rams. St. Louis is just 7-17 ATS in their last 24 as a home favorite and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 following a blowout loss by 14+ points. The Cards can score, even with Skelton at the helm. Prior to facing the very tough San Francisco defense, this team put up 20 vs. Pittsburgh, 27 vs. Baltimore, 19 vs. St. Louis and 21 vs. Philadelphia. I don't think the Rams have enough offense to cover this number. Take Arizona.
