Arizona at San Francisco

Just about everything went right for San Francisco last season, including a Super Bowl appearance, but now the 49ers will have a target on their backs, and there is the chance that they overachieved a bit last year. Jimmy Garoppolo did throw for nearly 4,000 yards with 27 touchdowns, but he also was picked off 13 times and lost five fumbles. In the playoffs, he simply had to manage the game as the Niners mostly ran the ball and played solid defense. This week the 49ers play their nemesis, the Arizona Cardinals, who are 4-0-1 ATS the last five meetings and have won eight of the last 10 meetings outright. The Cardinals went 5-10-1 last year, but they were 9-5-2 ATS, and this season they hope to have more success in the red zone instead of kicking field goals. Kyler Murray won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and threw for 3,722 yards with 20 touchdowns and ran for 544 yards and four TDs. Arizona also acquired receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and Larry Fitzgerald returns for his 17th season. The Cardinals are 10-4-2 ATS their last 16 games as underdogs, and San Francisco is 7-18-1 ATS its last 26 games as a favorite. Take the Cardinals.
