Arizona at San Francisco

I don't think many people would have ever dreamed that these teams would have identical 3-2 records coming into this meeting in week six. Arizona has played a pair of weak defensive teams the last two weeks in Tampa Bay and Carolina. But stepping back to three weeks ago, the defense was not up to task against a strong offense, as they allowed 31 points to New Orleans. I think this San Francisco offense will present similar challenges, with similar results. The Niners have played extremely well the last two weeks on defense, but that was vs. a struggling Matt Schaub and a St. Louis team that ranks 29th in the NFL on offense. Arizona is 21-8 to the OVER after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game. The Niners have allowed 27 or more points in three of their five games and they are 12-4 to the OVER in their last 16. Also since Jim Harbaugh took over, the 49ers are 12-3 OVER when facing a passing defense like Arizona's that allows 235+ passing yards per game. Go in on the OVER in this one.
