Arizona at San Francisco

Many thought San Francisco's hopes were dashed following Jimmy Garoppolo's season-ending injury, but backup C.J. Beathard started six games for the 49ers last year and he has a better team around him this season. Beathard was good enough to keep the Niners close last week before losing 29-27 to the Chargers. Beathard went 23-of-37 for 298 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and his team had a 17-6 lead at one point. Arizona is dead last in the NFL in total yards of offense (208.5) and second to last in rushing yards. The Cardinals are averaging a meager 9.3 points per game and have a rookie, Josh Rosen, starting at quarterback. Rosen completed 15-of-27 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown against Seattle last week as the Cardinals lost 20-17 at home. Arizona was outgained 331-263 and allowed the Seahawks 171 rushing yards on 5.0 per carry. The 49ers actually are #6 in the league, averaging 360.8 total offense yards and they average 5.2 yards per rush.
