The Oakland Raiders have not been good for a decade and counting, and at 0-5 they certainly have not improved this season. They have allowed 30 points or more in three of their last four games. Perhaps the only tidbit of good news is after scoring 51 total points in their first four games, Oakland went out and put up 28 against a very good San Diego defense. Rookie QB Derek Carr threw for 8.3 yards per attempt, and four TDs in by far his best performance as a pro. Maybe the game is slowing down for him finally now in his sixth game. What might be a surprise to many is the fact that Arizona has now put up 20 points or more in 15 of their last 17 games, and should have no problem scoring against the pedestrian Oakland defense. Arizona has suddenly been poor defensively, allowing 61 points over their last two games. Now with Carr improving and playing at home for the third straight game, I expect enough from the Oakland offense to push this total over the top. Oakland is now 8-3 to the OVER when following a straight-up loss, and 5-1-1 to the OVER in their last seven at home. Play on the OVER.
