Arizona at Atlanta

The Cardinals come off a 24-23 loss to the Bears, which featured a 109-yard touchdown return on a missed field goal by the Cardinals. Carson Palmer was 9-of-14 for 67 yards and Drew Stanton went two of six for 17 yards, but Blaine Gabbert was the pleasant surprise for Arizona as he finished 14-of-25 for 174 yards with one interception and played the entire second half. Atlanta blew a 10-0 lead and lost 17-13 to the Steelers and now the Falcons are 0-2 in the preseason as they try to recover from or forget their massive meltdown in the Super Bowl. Matt Ryan played one series and led a touchdown drive and finished four of six for 57 yards. Matt Schaub was only one of one for 10 yards and Matt Simms got the bulk of the playing time and went 15-of-29 for 197 yards with one pick. Coach Arians surely remembers his team's 38-19 loss at Atlanta in 2016, which was the final nail in the coffin for Arizona's playoff hopes. The Falcons are laying too many points for an 0-2 team in this situation. Take the Cardinals.
