Tampa Bay came from behind by 17 points twice, and Tom Brady brought back terrible memories of the 2017 Super Bowl to Atlanta fans as the Buccaneers came away with 31-27 victory on Sunday. They didn't cover the 6-point spread, however, and the Buccaneers are just 3-4 ATS their last seven games, yet they're laying double digits in this one. Detroit interim head coach Darrell Bevell will not be at the game due to COVID protocols. Tampa Bay is currently in the sixth spot in the NFC playoffs and the Lions will be playing the spoiler role. QB Matthew Stafford is questionable with broken ribs and a torn thumb and Chase Daniels will get the start if Stafford doesn't. Tampa Bay has not covered its last four games following a win and the Bucs are just 1-9-1 ATS their last 11 Saturday games. Also, Tampa Bay is 3-10 ATS the last 13 meetings with Detroit and this is a flat spot in the schedule for the Buccaneers. Take the big points with the Lions.

Tampa Bay at Detroit
Tampa Bay has a losing record and a bad defense, yet they are a road favorite. The Bucs are 4-8-1 ATS this season and 6-13-1 ATS as a road favorite. The defense is second to last in passing yards allowed (278.8 pg) and in points surrendered (29.3 pg). The offense will be without star WR Mike Evans, who is "very doubtful" after injuring his hamstring in Week 14. They are favored over a Detroit offense that is #13 in the NFL in total yards, seventh in passing with 263 yards per game behind QBs Matthew Stafford and Jeff Driskel, who have combined for 23 TDs and nine INTs. Detroit is 10-2 ATS against Tampa Bay and the underdog is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings, so back the home dog. Play Detroit.

Detroit at Tampa Bay
New Detroit coach and former New England assistant coach, Matt Patricia, is not used to losing and he is anxious to get his first victory after starting 0-2. Backup QB Jake Rudock actually played well in Detroit's loss to the Giants as he went 23-of-30 for 171 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Matt Stafford made an appearance and was 2-of-5 for 51 yards and even Matt Cassel was adequate throwing for 42 yards but with an interception. The Lions appear to have depth at the quarterback position and the defense had played well this year until the fourth quarter of the loss to the Giants. Dirk Koetter was 1-6-1 UNDER in preseason coming into this year and in the third week of preseason in 2017, Tampa Bay lost 13-9 to Cleveland in a game that went UNDER by 19 points. Jameis Winston threw for two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' win over the Titans, but he'll be suspended for the first three games of the regular season and the Buccs will need to play Ryan Fitzgerald more to get him ready and he was 5-of-13 for 46 yards. Detroit has some motivation to get a win for its new coach and look for its defense to improve. Take the Lions and the UNDER.
