Memphis at Central Florida

Central Florida routed Florida International last Thursday, but the Knights obviously will face a tougher defense against Memphis, which returns eight starters on the defensive side and expects to improve greatly from last year's squad. The Tigers defeated Louisiana Monroe 37-29 although the Warhawks scored 15 fourth quarter points to make the game appear closer than it was. Memphis relied on a time-consuming running game that produced 319 yards as quarterback Riley Ferguson was only 10-of-25 for 97 yards with an interception. The Tigers have gone UNDER seven of their last 10 after recording fewer than 170 yards passing their previous game and UCF is 21-5-1 UNDER its last 27 September games. Also, the Knights have stayed UNDER in seven of their last nine games overall and their last five after a win. The UCF defense held FIU to just 13 first downs and recovered three fumbles. The weather also will be a factor with Hurricane Irma rumbling toward Florida. Take the UNDER.
