Florida is off an embarrassing season and the heat is on Will Muschamp. His specialty is defense and there are no problems there as Muschamp has built the Gators into a dominant defense at #5 in the nation in points allowed in 2012, #15 last year (21.1 points per game). The offense gets an overhaul with new OC Kurt Roper (Duke) bringing in an uptempo, no-huddle attack. The good news is that they should start 3-0 and open against a small Sun Belt team. The Gators are 6-1 ATS against the Sun Belt Conference. Idaho has to travel a long way for this beating and its focus will be on next week for their conference opener. The Vandals are 15-35-1 ATS in their last 51 non-conference games and are on a 7-20 ATS run overall. Idaho was truly awful last year, getting outscored by a 46.8-18 average. Three starters return from the secondary that gave up 316 yards per game in 2013. The Vandals were not competitive in most of their games. They did lead Northern Illinois 28-14 at halftime, but lost by 10 points and the defense surrendered 529 yards per game. The Vandals are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games, so look for a one-sided romp in the Swamp by the embarrassed home team, whose last two games were also on this field, losing to rival Florida State by 30 and a huge upset to Georgia Southern (26-20). Take Florida.
