Washington at Phoenix

The Phoenix Mercury were once a fun WNBA team to watch, as they play little on the defensive end but had plenty of firepower on the offensive end. The problem now is that Diana Turasi continues to sit with a hip ailment, and Penny Taylor is out for the season with a knee injury, taking 16 points per game with her as well. It continues to get worse as Candace Duprey appears to be out tonight with a knee injury, and taking 16 ppg more from the Coyotes’ diminished offense. Washington is a lot better than they appear at 2-6. They have suffered five of those six losses against teams that are a combined 41-10 and those five teams are all in first or second place in their respective divisions. The Mystics certainly have enough to grab a road win here vs. the depleted Mercury. Play Washington on the moneyline.
