Washington at Phoenix

The Washington Mystics transformed their team when they landed Elena Delle Donne. It insured them that they had a player capable of taking over a game, and a supporting cast that has allowed them to start the season at 10-6. The Mystics started 1-2, but have since lost just four times, and three of those were against LA, and Minnesota - the league's top two teams, so they have pretty much beaten everyone else. What makes this team tough is having Donne to close out a game, but they are also deadly at the line with each of their top five scorers shooting at least 87.3% from the line. Phoenix has Griner and Turasi, which on paper looks tough to beat, but at age 35 Diana Turasi is a shell of her former self. She still is getting her points, just a lot more shots, as she is shooting way below her career average at a woeful 36.6% on the season, and numbers are down in all categories. Both of these teams like to get up and down the court. The Mercury has reached 83 points in seven of their last nine, but has allowed 80+ in seven of their last eight. The Mystics have reached the 100-point mark twice in their last nine, along with 97 against Chicago, is going to try and turn it up a notch to beat Griner down the floor. Take Washington and the OVER.
