The Connecticut Sun enter tonight's game vs. Tulsa at 16-5 on the season, and appear to have the ingredients to make a run for the WNBA Title. They have a lot of key contributors, that played at UConn, and that certainly gives them a big following at home. The Sun are a potent offensive team that averages 82.2 points per game. They should find a lot of room vs. a Tulsa team that allows 84.4 ppg and gives it up to opponents that connect at 48.7% against them - the worst mark in the league. This should turn into a high-scoring game, and typically when players are having fun scoring on one end, they lose intensity on the defensive end. I think that will allow Tulsa to stay within a lofty number, as they have only failed one time in their last seven to cover a spread of greater than 11 at 4-1-2. The Sun have not played intensely as a huge chalk, dropping their last four as a favorite of 11 or more. The Sun have also played those last four as a chalk of -11 or more to the OVER, an indication that their offensive success has indeed led to a defensive liability. Play on Tulsa and take the OVER in this one.
