A couple of money-burners meet in this one, but everything favors a big win by the visitors. Washington is dreadful. They are in last place and just 1-3 straight-up at home. Washington comes off a rare win, but that was against a bad Tulsa (1-9) team - the worst team in the WNBA. The previous four games Washington went 0-4 SU/ATS losing by 7, 8, 18 and 9 points, all of which by going against Washington would easily cover today’s point spread. Washington has major problems with injuries, playing without All-Stars Alana Beard (foot) and Monique Currie (knee). Washington averages 17.2 turnovers, third highest in the 12-team league. Seattle comes to town with a winning record, coming off a close loss at a strong Connecticut team. This offense has excellent balance, guided by Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird, and will continue to improve because of an off-season trade that brought in Katie Smith that is taking some time to gel. The trade was with Washington, so Smith has extra incentive against her old team here. The Washington Mystics are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog and 0-8 ATS in their last eight games as a home underdog. Play the Seattle Storm.
