Seattle at New York

The Seattle Storm took a hit last year with Lauren Jackson and Sue Bird both missing the season. The New York Liberty thought they had the missing piece when they acquired Tina Charles for the 2014 season, but the chemistry on this team may take time to develop as they are off to a disappointing 1-2 start to the season. Seattle comes into this game as a team that is going to want the game stalled to a screeching halt, limit shots, shorten the game, and have a shot late. I think that New York is well aware that they don't want to sleepwalk through this game, and have to make the Storm uncomfortable when they can, and push the ball. The Storm have played four straight to the UNDER, and that has dipped the total here to just below the 140 mark, and ripe to be had here. New York has played two straight games vs. teams that were unbeaten at the time, and they may be in a let-down mode here vs. the 1-3 Storm, allowing some easier baskets. The Liberty have been known to letup after an ATS win where they own an ugly 1-9 ATS mark in their next game. The Storm are off their first win, have a bit of confidence now, and have been 11-5 to the over in their last 16 off a win.
