Seattle has an impressive winning record and is 2-0 since coach Dan Hughes returned to the sideline. The defending champs flattened Los Angeles, 84-62, in his first game back, then shut down Indiana the last game, 65-61, allowing 34.4% shooting. Seattle is tops in the WNBA defensively in points allowed (72.8 points per game), while the offense is tops in shooting (46.8%) and three-point shooting (37.6%), fifth in free throws (80.7%) behind Jewell Loyd (16.6 points per game) and Natasha Howard (19.6 points per game, 9.2 rebounds per game). They've won three times straight up as a road dog, including two of their last three road contests, winning at Washington (74-71) as a +9 dog and 84-82 at Indiana as a +2 dog. Las Vegas has been up and down because of a suspect defense (seventh in points allowed), while its free throw shooting is subpar, ranked fourth worst.
