It's been a positive season for Seattle after two bad years. They've rebuilt with a pair of top draft picks (Jewell Loyd and Breanna Stewart), plus a group of veterans to make the playoffs. They came down the stretch winning 7 of 10 games, plus 10 of 16. Seattle has also won five of the last six games -- including winning four in a row as a dog each time. Seattle is third in the WNBA in assists on offense and third defensively in points allowed. They face an Atlanta squad that has holes, seventh in points scored, ninth in points allowed and dead last in assists. Atlanta had a good start to the season but has since folded, on a 9-14 run. The Dream fell from the #4 seed (which would have earned them a first round bye) to the #6 seed over the final two weeks of the season. Seattle won the regular season series, 2-1, picking up wins in both Seattle and Atlanta. The latest meeting was a 91-82 Seattle victory two weeks ago in Atlanta as a +4 dog. That win was part of Seattle's remarkable run following the Olympic break that got them in the playoffs. They are also one of the hottest teams in the league, as only top seeded Minnesota (7-2) has a better post-Olympic break record than Seattle's 7-3 mark. I like Seattle to get the job done.
