San Antonio at Phoenix

The San Antonio Silver Spurs are off to a 3-0 start, and looking at them as a pretty sizeable dog here is enticing, but also the wrong choice. The Silver Spurs’ numbers are gaudy on offense, shooting well over 50% and draining a lot of 3's, but most of that work was accomplished vs. WNBA doormat Tulsa, who they blasted twice with inflated stats. Phoenix is a better team with real shooters against much stiffer competition. The Silver Stars are a money-burning 19-41-1 ATS following an ATS win, and this time it isn't Tulsa they are playing. The Mercury are sailing to a high-profitability vs. the West at 9-4 ATS in their last 13, and the Silver Stars are coming up empty vs. the Mercury at 0-5 ATS in their last five meetings. Phoenix gets the call.
