The Liberty won the Eastern Conference last year with a 21-13 record, while the Silver Stars finished the season at 7-27 as the worst team in the league. San Antonio also had a horrific finish at 2-14 over their last 16 games. The Silver Stars have repaired their roster via the draft, adding top overall pick Kelsey Plum, and fifth overall pick Nia Coffey, and will have a new face in the middle as well, adding fee agent center Erika De Souza. Tina Charles was the league's leading scorer last year, and as long as she is healthy New York is going to win some games. Bria Hartley and Kia Vaughn were brought in, exchanging them for Carolyn Swords, and I think New York is going to be a solid choice in the East again, while any progress the Stars make will take some time.
