Phoenix at Tulsa

Premium Pick

The Tulsa Shock have had absolutely no success since moving from Detroit, but the lack of success has allowed them to draft themselves into an improved team. And because the wins have come so infrequently, the odds against them have grown in disproportion to the growth of the team. Tulsa is in all to familiar territory at 0-5 on the season, but hard to ignore the fact that they are 4-1 ATS. It is also hard to ignore that in their last 24 games they have been posted as a home dog in five of them, and have been a perfect 5-0 ATS. Phoenix has two big names in Britney Griner and Diana Turasi, but have come up empty as a road favorite. They have been posted as road chalk four times since late June of last year, but are an imperfect 0-4 ATS in their four tries as road chalk. The Mercury are also a lackluster 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 on two days rest. The Shock is still not winning, but are beating the numnber as they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight vs. a winning team. Make the play on Tulsa. Also take the OVER in the first-half. In Tulsa's lone home game this season, they scored 48 in the first-half while allowing a whopping 60 points. Tulsa head coach Fred Williams is 25-11 OVER in the first-half when revenging a loss. That includes a 14-1 OVER mark if that loss came by six points or less. Take Tulsa and the first-half OVER.
