Phoenix got off to a good start winning three of its first four games, but since has lost three straight. However, the Mercury did cover the number and almost pulled out a victory at New York on Wednesday after having to play the previous night at Connecticut. Natasha Cloud and Kahleah Copper combined for 41 points for the Mercury, who kept it close the entire game. Minnesota comes off an 80-66 home loss to Las Vegas and shot just 37 percent from the field. Phoenix has covered four of its five road games and four of five overall against teams with winning records.
