Phoenix at Indiana

The Phoenix Mercury have lost just three games on the season as they have utilized the inside-out dynamics of Diana Turasi and Britney Griner to become an imposing offensive force. They have now scored 80 points or more points in each of their last six games, and are always on the run. The problem for Phoenix is that they are not a good defending team. Teams are taking advantage with their willingness to run with them to catch them before they can get set up on the defensive end where Griner can control the paint. Their last 10 games have seen their opponent score 78 points or more points in seven of them. Indiana plays well on the defensive ned, but most of their games are in the East. They have seen just three teams from the West this year, and if you discount a slow-paced Seattle team, the other two have seen 369 points scored. Phoenix has seen their last four games score at least 81 points in the first half between the two clubs, so I wouldn't expect anything less tonight for this one. The Fever have been one of the best WNBA teams in the league when playing on a single day of rest at 23-7 ATS in their last 30. Over the last three years Indiana owns a 27-9 straight-up record when playing on a single day of rest. Take Indiana on the moneyline and go with the first half OVER in this one.
