Everyone keeps waiting for the Phoenix Mercury to breakout. They finished 23-11 in 2009 and were on their way to the WNBA Title, but have since been 18-22. This is simply a team that scores, but plays no defense. The Sky has vastly improved and have also begun to defend their homecourt with passion, a sign of a team turning the corner. Out of the gate they are a perfect 3-0 at home on the season and all three of those teams were arguably better than Phoenix. The Mercury have struggled against good teams standing in at 2-7 ATS in their last nine vs. a winning team. The Sky is 5-1 ATS in their last six and 6-1 ATS in their last seven on a single day of rest. I am on Chicago in this one.
