A long road trip for New York, 3,000 miles to play at Seattle, a team with a winning record on this court. New York (9-14) is in a terrible situational handicapping spot, ending a five-game road trip and playing the second of a back-to-back road situation after a blowout loss (82-67) in Los Angeles last night. It's also their third game in four nights. They looked out of gas last night getting outscored 22-5 in the fourth quarter. The Liberty are 2-5 ATS in their last seven against the Western Conference and 2-8 ATS in their last ten games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5. The Storm is in the midst of a seven-game homestand with three remaining. Lauren Jackson, a 6-foot-6 center, joined the team last week after recovering from an injury. Add star Sue Bird and veterans Tanisha Wright and Camille Little to the practice mix and the Storm is finally coming together for a late push. The Storm is 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a favorite and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing straight up record. Play the Seattle Storm. In addition, look for a ton of points. Seattle has its top players back and increased depth, which means they will run right at the road weary Lilberty. New York coach John Whisenant wasn't pleased with his team's 19 turnovers last night and its inability to attack the Sparks' zone, as well as allowing ten of 25 three pointers (40%). The over is 5-1 in the Liberty's last six games playing on no days rest. Play Seattle and the OVER in this one.
