New York at Detroit

The Detroit Shock cut down the nets last year as WNBA Champs, and with a 9-14 mark almost 2/3 of the way through the season, this team seemed dead in an attempt to defend that title. Suddenly, with all the Eastern teams beating up on each other, the Shock have put together a 7-2 run and stand a game behind Atlanta with two to play. What fueled this team under former coach Laimbeer was defense, but the new fuel for this team, and the way they clawed themselves back has been offense. The Shock have played OVER in five of their last six wins, and seven of their last nine. They have averaged 88.5 points per game in their last six wins, and you know they will be focused with renewed energy here tonight. The Liberty aren't bringing their defense on the road. As we get late in the season, they have allowed 88 and 96 points in their last two games. This one will be about offense, and OVER gets the call.
