This is a big battle with Minnesota in first place in the Western Conference. San Antonio is just two and a half games behind Seattle and Phoenix for second place. Marquee games like this bring out strong defensive efforts and the UNDER is 8-1 in the Minnesota Lynx’s last nine games playing on one day of rest. They are also 4-1 to the UNDER in their last five vs. the Western Conference. Meanwhile, San Antonio has been an UNDER machine on a 15-5-1 run UNDER the total in the Silver Stars last 21 overall, and 6-1 in their last seven vs. the Western Conference. I see a fierce defensive effort in this showdown, so play San Antonio/Minnesota UNDER the total. In addition, San Antonio has home court and is hungry to end a five-game skid, home from a tough three-game road trip here. This is not the norm for this team, losing five in a row for the first time since 2006. Despite the loss the last game, the Silver Stars got rookie Danielle Adams back (she scored 10 points in her first game since July 26 because of a sprained right foot). And Becky Hammon, the Silver Stars' All-Star guard, was held scoreless for just the third time in six years, going 0 for 8 from the field. Great players don’t get shut out two games in a row and I see a big bounce back effort by the healthy and hungry home squad. And the Minnesota Lynx are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games. Play San Antonio.
