The New York Liberty finally got the monkey off its back and snapped a 17-game losing streak with an 88-78 victory over the Las Vegas Aces, who are favored to win the WNBA championship. Tina Charles scored 21 points and Bria Hartley added 17 and the defense held the Aces to a .354 field goal percentage. That was a much better performance than the game Minnesota played in its 89-85 loss at home to Los Angeles on Saturday as the Lynx committed 20 turnovers. The Liberty actually has covered the spread in four of the last five meetings and it is 2-2-1 ATS this season compared to 2-3-1 ATS for the Lynx.
