Los Angeles blitzed Seattle in its opener, 96-66. They are tops in the WNBA in scoring and second in points allowed. Candace Parker was a whirlwind, getting 34 points on 12-of-20 shooting, five rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Sparks forced 24 turnovers. They head East but face a winless Washington squad despite opening the season with three-straight home contests. The Mystics are dealing with the early-season absence of their 2015 leading scorer, point guard Ivory Latta (knee surgery).
