The LA Sparks will be playing their third consecutive road game to start the WNBA season and look to get one in the win column vs the San Antonio Silver Stars. The Silver Stars slipped last season after compiling a 15-2 home mark in 2008 and I expect them to slip some more this season. The Spark recovered from a 7-14 start a year ago to finish 10-3 down the stretch. A lot of that had to do with Candace Parker getting back on the court. She is averaging a double-double to start the season. The Silver Stars are a woeful 6-21 ATS following an ATS win, pointing to their inconsistency, while the Spark have been getting it done on the road at 8-3 ATS in their last 11. I like LA here. I also like the OVER. In two games thus far the Sparks have given up an average of 80 ppg. The Silver Stars have allowed 75 per game. In the favorite role, San Antonio is 62-40 OVER in their history. Over the last three seasons, they are 26-14 OVER as a home favorite. And over that span, they are 13-3 OVER at home when coming off an UNDER. I like LA and the OVER here.
