Los Angeles at Phoenix

The Phoenix Mercury are off to a 1-1 start and have to be concerned as Diana Turasi is dealing with a hip injury. Although she is expected to play, she is obviously not at 100%. Penny Taylor is also out for the season with a knee injury. Phoenix struggled on the road vs. a poor Tulsa team squeezing out a 2 point win and were destroyed by Minnesota by 22. LA is finally healthy with Candace Parker in the middle, creating problems on both ends of the floor. Kristi Toliver has also improved immensely and is contributing a team high 22ppg as well as dishing out 14 assists. The Mercury will be a bit rusty on three days rest, a situation that has seen them fall at a 5-17 ATS mark in their last 22. Play on LA.
