Los Angeles at Phoenix

Phoenix (8-6) and Los Angeles (9-4) are in a tight battle in the West, so this is a big game. Big games always mean tough defense, and often means home court edge can be the difference. Los Angeles is just 1-4 SU/ATS on the road having played almost twice as many games at home, 1-5 ATS in their last six road games. The Sparks are 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on two days rest, and 2-5 ATS against a team with a winning record.  Phoenix is hungry for a win, riding a two-game skid, but that ended a stretch where they had won eight of nine games. Look for Phoenix to play its best basketball at home while looking to end the skid. And with so much at stake, both teams will play great defense. Los Angeles is sharp, allowing 75 ppg, and the UNDER is 5-1 in the Sparks' last six vs. the Western Conference, and 7-3 UNDER the total in Sunday get-away day games. Phoenix is on a 3-0-1 run UNDER the total against the Western Conference, and the UNDER is 21-7-1 in the Mercury's last 29 games following a spread loss.
